Notes
The King is a god with a body. His castle stands at the top of the King's Mountain, and he rules from there.
- His name is Balendin, used only in liturgy. Most people say "the King." There is only one, and everyone knows who is meant.
- He helps his people when he chooses, usually through the Irin. Sometimes he lets events run. He never helps with anything blatantly illegal or immoral.
- He rarely appears in public. He appears on every major, continental holiday in The Hearthkin Calendar.
- He is merciful and benevolent, yet zealous in destroying evil. The faithful expect to live in his celestial castle after death.
- His most important edict is that the Hearthkin love each other unconditionally.
- He walked among his people and fought Dreadthorn. See History in Order.
