Warmancer
Mount & Empathetic Canine Companion
Companion’s Name: Warmancer
Breed & Physical Markings: Large War Mastiff; dense, dark reddish-brown coat with diamond-shaped pure white spots across her flanks, and deep, ink-black paws.
Tactical Armor & Gear: Heavy padded leather plate-armor lined with copper-gem reinforcement rivets, steel-tipped bite-guards, and a custom saddle harness fitted with a secure boot-sheath for Gimbal’s carbine.
Empathetic Mirroring: Warmancer is Gimbal’s externalized psyche. When Gimbal represses his rising panic, Warmancer’s hackles rise, her tail goes rigid, and she lets out a low, almost silent sub-audible growl that vibrates through Gimbal’s saddle. When he freezes during flashbacks, Warmancer presses her massive 120-pound chest directly against his knees, anchor-weighting him to the present mud.
Doc 2 summary: Large War Mastiff; reddish-brown coat, white spots, black paws. (Consistent with master.)
Doc 3 — Relationship: More than a mount, Warmancer is a lifeline to Gimbal’s lost past. The mastiff, who survived the Waterburrow raid alongside him, is a constant reminder of what he’s fighting to protect.
